Jamestown Insurance Company, A Risk Retention Group
Jamestown Insurance Company, A Risk Retention Group (Jamestown) was formed
during 2003 as a stock risk retention group under the Federal Liability Risk
Retention Act of 1986. Jamestown incorporated in South Carolina, commenced
operation March 31, 2003 and is licensed as a captive insurance company.
Jamestown provides, on an occurrence basis, commercial general
liability and business automobile liability coverage to its
policyholders. The minimum coverage
of general liability that may be purchased is $1,000,000.00 per
occurrence, combined single limit and $2,000,000.00 aggregate,
combined single limit. Policyholders
also have the option to purchase insurance coverage up to
$5,000,000.00 combined single limit.
Jamestown underwrites and provides liability insurance
for propane dealers throughout 17 states. All policyholders
are shareholders of Jamestown.
